The SMA Solar Academy has recently developed a free web-based training, which provides an overview on the entire topic of Industrial Hybrid Energy Solutions. The online self-learning course takes about half an hour to complete and is open to everyone interested in learning the basics of this topic in an interactive way.
The web-based training takes a story-based approach, with the learner taking the role of an employee of a big mining company in Australia who is responsible for a new project. The task is to find out how integrating a photovoltaic (PV) plant into the mine’s energy supply will affect the running costs. The learner starts by gathering information and ends up with a concrete working concept of a hybrid solution.
